The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustaf Aspengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigvard Smefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joakim Sjögren made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Gustaf Aspengren sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Forsheda booed when Östra Karup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Arhenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens-Ola Vallman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Hylander in the 19th minute of the match. Adam Hylander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ola Vallman having to interfere. Jens-Ola Vallman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andréas Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaf Aspengren got free with Joakim Sjögren in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Östra Karup's Sigvard Smefeldt fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a little luck, Forsheda's Joakim Sjögren got control of the ball when Gustaf Aspengren tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gustaf Aspengren came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Östra Karup fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaf Aspengren couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Sigvard Smefeldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sigvard Smefeldt to strike the kick off in the second half. Gustaf Aspengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigvard Smefeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Joakim Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Sundström kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match Albin Mickelsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joakim Sjögren skillfully saved the ball. After 60 minutes, Jonas Bolander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forsheda and the Östra Karup players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Forsheda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Bolander to maneuver through the defense. Joakim Sjögren came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Östra Karup's Sigvard Smefeldt. But to his dismay, Sigvard Smefeldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Aspengren in the 69th minute of play forced Forsheda's goalkeeper Joakim Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Aspengren might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joakim Sjögren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaf Aspengren ran back to his position shaking his head. Sigvard Smefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 75 in the game by Adam Hylander from a close distance when the talented Jens-Ola Vallman managed to make a qualified save. Östra Karup's players were relieved. If Andréas Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andréas Johansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Forsheda getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. David Sundström hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Aspengren in the 89th minute of play forced Forsheda's goalkeeper Joakim Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Sjögren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Aspengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Östra Karup fully deserved thier win.
