Tommy Wikander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Östra Ämtervik getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rune Klemensson hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Ulf Arenberg managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 16th minute, Rudolf Nord hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charlie Hellström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Asserlindh's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Björn Asserlindh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Kuse kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Björn Asserlindh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Hellström having to interfere. Tim Ambjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Hellström having to interfere. When Billy Sandberg, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 39 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tommy Wikander was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Björn Asserlindh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Charlie Hellström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

After a defensive mix-up in MAD DOGS's zone, Billy Sandberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Wikander came out of the goal and Billy Sandberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernt Skräddare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Wikander having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Arne Stenqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MAD DOGS and the Östra Ämtervik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Björn Asserlindh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Hellström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. If Björn Asserlindh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, MAD DOGS's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolf Nord came free, but Tommy Wikander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björn Asserlindh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Charlie Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charlie Hellström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Ambjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Charlie Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Asserlindh in the 84th minute of the match. Björn Asserlindh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Charlie Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Östra Ämtervik players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
