Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ove Svanér took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ove Svanér might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Salqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ove Svanér ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the match, helsingborg's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Svanér came free, but Sebastian Salqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfta's Wilhelm Ödmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Norberg in the 12th minute of play. If Per Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 played minutes Alfta got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Hegg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Finman in the 15th minute of play forced Alfta's goalkeeper Wilhelm Ödmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esbjörn Ljungberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Ove Finman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilhelm Ödmann. Alfta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ove Finman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Wilhelm Ödmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Finman in the 26th minute of the match. Ove Finman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Wilhelm Ödmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilhelm Ödmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Finman in the 34th minute of play. Alfta's Wilhelm Ödmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Norberg in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ove Finman in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilhelm Ödmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45 played minutes, helsingborg's Anders Lennartsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilhelm Ödmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in helsingborg reached it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in helsingborg's zone, Ove Svanér stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Salqvist came out of the goal and Ove Svanér tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tor Holm during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, Tor Holm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ove Svanér came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Alfta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ove Svanér couldn't finish the play. If Esbjörn Ljungberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Norberg struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Wilhelm Ödmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for helsingborg. When Ove Finman came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the helsingborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ove Finman couldn't finish the play. Esbjörn Ljungberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Salqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Svanér, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Karl-Åke Dahlqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Alexander Strömberg hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Alfta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ove Finman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to helsingborg getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Per Norberg hit a great ball. 0-2 became the score in the 87th minute when Ove Finman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 95th minute Esbjörn Ljungberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Salqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
