The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Egon Ståhlberg made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Allan Arvidsson sent off a good shot on target. Olof Vallman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven-Åke Drewitz. Tallåsen RK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 12 played minutes Järnforsen got a freekick which was hit by Sverker Aronsson. If Karl-Åke Skarkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hannes Telin hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Järnforsen's Ludvig Modig got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egon Ståhlberg made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Jörn Engström sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute Victor Lindgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Åke Drewitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Järnforsen booed when Tallåsen RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Telin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Järnforsen's goalkeeper Egon Ståhlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allan Arvidsson. Allan Arvidsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Egon Ståhlberg made a huge save. In the 36th minute Karl-Åke Skarkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egon Ståhlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egon Ståhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Åke Skarkman in the 38th minute of the match. Allan Arvidsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Egon Ståhlberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 41stth minute of the game Karl-Åke Skarkman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Järnforsen's Egon Ståhlberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 45 played minutes Karl-Åke Skarkman rounded Järnforsen's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ludvig Modig was the one to do the kick off. If Allan Arvidsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ludvig Modig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Järnforsen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludvig Modig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Åke Drewitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Allan Arvidsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Egon Ståhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Åke Skarkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
