Jan Haraldsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvin Fågel, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 10 minutes into the match, Sakarias Hökkvist notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Skulptören's Eddie Billing. Eddie Billing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 19 minutes, Sakarias Hökkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullringen RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sakarias Hökkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eddie Billing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sakarias Hökkvist's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvin Fågel in the 25th minute of play forced Gullringen RK's goalkeeper Jan Haraldsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddie Billing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Arne Örtendahl in the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Skulptören's zone, Sakarias Hökkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddie Billing came out of the goal and Sakarias Hökkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Per-Arne Örtendahl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gullringen RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Arne Örtendahl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eddie Billing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the FC Skulptören defense, Sakarias Hökkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddie Billing. The FC Skulptören fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddie Billing should have stopped the shot. Per-Arne Örtendahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Eddie Billing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rasmus Sävström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Haraldsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Jan Haraldsson made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Rasmus Sävström sent off a good shot on target. Rasmus Sävström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Haraldsson having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Per-Arne Örtendahl to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Arne Örtendahl in the 54th minute of play forced FC Skulptören's goalkeeper Eddie Billing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Rasmus Sävström managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Skulptören's supporters rose to their feet, but Rasmus Sävström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Haraldsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brian Vestlund kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Rasmus Sävström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rasmus Sävström in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Haraldsson saved Gullringen RK from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Gullringen RK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Skulptören:s goal. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for FC Skulptören. Christian Rydelius stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jan Haraldsson. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in FC Skulptören's zone, Mattias Kilman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddie Billing came out of the goal and Mattias Kilman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Sakarias Hökkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullringen RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sakarias Hökkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gullringen RK's Per-Arne Örtendahl was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 84 played minutes, Gullringen RK's Georg Martinsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eddie Billing came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gullringen RK reached it. In the 85thth minute of the game Per-Arne Örtendahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Skulptören's Eddie Billing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gullringen RK were furious when Georg Martinsson was red carded, 97 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 97th minute, one of Gullringen RK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gullringen RK. The referee gave FC Skulptören a penalty, 100 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Christian Rydelius, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gullringen RK's Jan Haraldsson. 2-3. Gullringen RK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
