When Timmy Wallin came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Aspabruk IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timmy Wallin couldn't finish the play. Casper Björkkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joacim Hellgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Wallin in the 17th minute of play. After 22 played minutes Bräcke IK got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Askberg. Casper Björkkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Joacim Hellgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Timmy Wallin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute, Aspabruk IK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Torbjörn Askberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Torbjörn Askberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernt Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stellan Stenkvist having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Casper Björkkvist made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Bräcke IK getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Paul Abrahamsson hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Bräcke IK's goal looked a bit too open when Casper Björkkvist came free, but Joacim Hellgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aspabruk IK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Bräcke IK a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paul Abrahamsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Aspabruk IK's Stellan Stenkvist. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Fågel in the 65th minute of play forced Bräcke IK's goalkeeper Joacim Hellgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timmy Wallin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Joacim Hellgren made a huge save. After 71 played minutes Aspabruk IK got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Pååk. After a defensive mix-up in Bräcke IK's zone, Timmy Wallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joacim Hellgren came out of the goal and Timmy Wallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joacim Hellgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casper Björkkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bräcke IK's Joacim Hellgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Bräcke IK from getting a goal against them.
