In the 8th minute, Sven-Edvin Tillman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Verner Landin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Stephansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Pär Nordin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Karl-Magnus Rolandsson to make any attempt to save it. If Bertil Stephansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inge Bäckström in the 29th minute of play forced 68 United's goalkeeper Verner Landin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, 68 United's goal looked a bit too open when Inge Bäckström came free, but Verner Landin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Valdemarsvik booed when 68 United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Almqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertil Stephansson scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Verner Landin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karl-Magnus Rolandsson was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Pär Nordin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pär Nordin really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Stephansson made a kick off. After 55 played minutes Valdemarsvik got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Salqvist. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Sellberg in the 63rd minute of play forced Valdemarsvik's goalkeeper Karl-Magnus Rolandsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inge Bäckström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Verner Landin having to make a save. In the 67th minute, Sven-Edvin Tillman had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. A collision led to 68 United getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Knut Gustavsson hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, 68 United's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Salqvist came free, but Verner Landin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inge Bäckström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Verner Landin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Svante Sefastsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Verner Landin. That made the score 2-2 in the 82 minute of play. Jan Carlsson hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Valdemarsvik were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
