After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Börge Rosén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Markaryd's supporters rose to their feet, but Börge Rosén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kent Bokelund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Grönberg made a kick off. If Ralf Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Robin Odén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Grönberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Börge Rosén put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kent Bokelund. If Börge Rosén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kent Bokelund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Engström in the 66th minute of the match.
