Roger Jansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Pihlwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lemunda IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olov Hultman was slow to take the kick. During this time Markaryd's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Olov Hultman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lemunda IF's Roger Jansson did a great save. Malcolm Strömqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Robin Odén made a huge save. Rikard Pihlwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Roger Jansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Gustaf Apelqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lemunda IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Markaryd the free kick. In the 30th minute, Gustaf Apelqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Lemunda IF getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Gustaf Apelqvist hit a great ball. Börge Rosén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Börge Rosén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Roger Jansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lemunda IF's goalkeeper Roger Jansson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roger Jansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Rosén in the 46th minute of play. After 46 minutes of play Lemunda IF's Gustaf Apelqvist was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gustaf Apelqvist hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. If Börge Rosén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malcolm Strömqvist was the one to do the kick off. Egil Skoglund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Malcolm Strömqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lemunda IF getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alvin Blomqvist hit a great ball. Ralf Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Roger Jansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Markaryd booed when Lemunda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvin Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Engström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Jansson having to interfere. Roger Jansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Engström, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Malcolm Strömqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ralf Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ralf Engström came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Markaryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Engström couldn't finish the play. After 99 minutes, Olle Hjelm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Markaryd and the Lemunda IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 99 played minutes Markaryd got a freekick which was hit by Olle Hjelm. In the 100th minute of the match Alvin Blomqvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robin Odén showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Lemunda IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Markaryd were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
