Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Hammarby IF's Olle Duset started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Christer Biörkquist came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ayuub fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christer Biörkquist couldn't finish the play. When Bengt-Arne Sjöberg fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hammarby IF's protests and gave Bengt-Arne Sjöberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Sjöberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Timmy Törnkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammarby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Timmy Törnkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Koch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Olle Duset's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Koch was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Sebastian Koch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Törnkvist in the 22nd minute of play. Christer Biörkquist hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Hammarby IF's Rickard Söderman tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Timmy Törnkvist put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sebastian Koch. Timmy Törnkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sebastian Koch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jonatan Tunander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Hammarby IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ayuub:s goal. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Ayuub. Jonas Sjögren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Göran Valler. 2-1. A collision led to Hammarby IF getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Daniel Bållström hit a great ball. Göran Valler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Tunander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Hammarby IF's Orvar Bergfeldt got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Egon Glanselius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egon Glanselius in the 72nd minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Göran Valler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonatan Tunander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Valler having to interfere. Timmy Törnkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Timmy Törnkvist could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Sebastian Koch however easily saved by the left post. Ayuub's Sebastian Koch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olle Duset in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Olle Duset managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammarby IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olle Duset was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christer Biörkquist kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Timmy Törnkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Sebastian Koch made a huge save. Egon Glanselius scored 3-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Göran Valler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Göran Valler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Glanselius in the 97th minute of play. Hammarby IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
