Roger Billström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Bruse having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Lönsboda RK's goal looked a bit too open when Olle Stenman came free, but Sven-Åke Skarkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, The Dubliners's Lucas Hurtig got a free kick in the 34th minute. Bertil Bruse stood somewhat misplaced when Krister Söderqvist came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. In the 41st minute of the match, Anthon Österlund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bertil Bruse saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Anthon Österlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertil Bruse was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Bernt Tholsson made the kick off in the second half. Bertil Bruse came out of the goal and Jakob Deckberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Lönsboda RK fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Lönsboda RK's Krister Söderqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anthon Österlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Bertil Bruse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egon Hellström during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
