Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kjell-Arne Björklund made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Juhlin got free with Sten Västerberg in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Huaröd's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Wallin came free, but Pär Falck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Kjell-Arne Björklund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Upphärad IF's Sten Västerberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Kjell-Arne Björklund recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sten Västerberg. Kjell-Arne Björklund showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Simon Axelsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pär Falck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Huaröd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Pettersson to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Upphärad IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kjell-Arne Björklund fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Simon Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Wallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils Wallin to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Simon Axelsson made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Huaröd's Pär Falck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 56 played minutes Upphärad IF got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Eliasson. Arvid Gulliksson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Nils Wallin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 66 minutes, Simon Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Upphärad IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Axelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73 played minutes Huaröd got a freekick which was hit by Dan Pettersson. Joachim Fernkvist, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Jan Juhlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Västerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell-Arne Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Huaröd's Pär Falck got control of the ball when Simon Axelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 95 played minutes Huaröd got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Galle. In the 97th minute Joachim Fernkvist managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Upphärad IF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
