Upphärad IF's Simon Axelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th match minute, The Dubliners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Åke Vallin to maneuver through the defense. Simon Axelsson hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. A hard shot 14 in the game by Olle Stenman from a close distance when the talented Sten Västerberg managed to make a qualified save. Upphärad IF's players were relieved. If Simon Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Säfström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Bruse having to interfere. Nils Wallin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertil Bruse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Upphärad IF's Sten Västerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Tholsson in the 26th minute of play. Olle Stenman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Sten Västerberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 36th match minute, Upphärad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickard Säfström to maneuver through the defense. Olle Stenman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sten Västerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Tholsson in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, The Dubliners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Åke Vallin to maneuver through the defense. Simon Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Bruse having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nils Wallin made the kick off in the second half. When Upphärad IF's Nils Wallin in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Dubliners's goalie prevented a goal. Lucas Hurtig's late challenge caught a Upphärad IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Hurtig helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Upphärad IF booed when The Dubliners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Hurtig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, The Dubliners's Lucas Hurtig got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th play minute Simon Axelsson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bertil Bruse. 0-1. After 63 minutes of play, The Dubliners's Olle Stenman made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Västerberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Nils Wallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Wallin in the 69th minute of play forced The Dubliners's goalkeeper Bertil Bruse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Upphärad IF's goal looked a bit too open when Olle Stenman came free, but Sten Västerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertil Bruse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Wallin in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Upphärad IF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
