When Dan Hallgren fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sorunda IFK's protests and gave Dan Hallgren a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sorunda IFK! In the 8th minute there was a penalty for AC Maradona. Fabian Tholsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Philip Pilberg. 1-0. When Thomas Vidman came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sorunda IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Vidman couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute Klas Stephansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Grubb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klas Stephansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Grubb having to interfere. AC Maradona's Alexander Grubb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Vidman in the 32nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Thomas Vidman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 67 minutes, Thomas Vidman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorunda IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Vidman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philip Pilberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sorunda IFK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AC Maradona.
