Ronny Örnberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yngve Tönnberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Petter Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Pål Hägg had to leave the field with a concussion. Åke Sefastsson's late challenge caught a Ljungby IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Åke Sefastsson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bovallstrand RK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Åke Sefastsson hit a great ball. Ljungby IK's Kurt Lång played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Koch in the 18th minute of play. Bovallstrand RK's Yngve Tönnberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Bovallstrand RK from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Bovallstrand RK's Alexander Anselius got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Petter Abrahamsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yngve Tönnberg, 1-0. The supporters of Ljungby IK booed when Bovallstrand RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Forsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Petter Abrahamsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ljungby IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Petter Abrahamsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yngve Tönnberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Viggo Skålberg came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Bovallstrand RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viggo Skålberg couldn't finish the play. Yngve Tönnberg made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Petter Abrahamsson sent off a good shot on target. After 37 played minutes Bovallstrand RK got a freekick which was hit by Åke Sefastsson. Petter Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viggo Skålberg to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ljungby IK's zone, Freddie Koch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Lång came out of the goal and Freddie Koch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tobias Sander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Bovallstrand RK's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Abrahamsson came free, but Yngve Tönnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Kurt Lång managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Bovallstrand RK's Freddie Koch fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ljungby IK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Bovallstrand RK. Carl Hasselqvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kurt Lång. 1-1. A collision led to Bovallstrand RK getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ernst Forsberg hit a great ball. Petter Abrahamsson scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yngve Tönnberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ljungby IK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Viggo Skålberg scored to the left of an out of position Kurt Lång, making the score, 2-2. When Petter Abrahamsson came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ljungby IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petter Abrahamsson couldn't finish the play. Freddie Kochs short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Kurt Lång to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kurt Lång made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Freddie Koch sent off a good shot on target. The Bovallstrand RK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ljungby IK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
