Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robin Björkman started the match with the kick off. Osvald Andersson, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Carl Hedkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viggo Heggert, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Björn Askelöf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Viggo Heggert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Hedkvist was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Viggo Heggert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Björn Lindström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vankiva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Västerås United FC the free kick. A collision led to Vankiva getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Björn Lindström hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Rosen in the 33rd minute of play forced Västerås United FC's goalkeeper Carl Hedkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magnus Rosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Hedkvist having to interfere. If Viggo Heggert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sixten Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robin Björkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixten Pettersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viggo Heggert to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Vankiva got a freekick which was hit by Björn Lindström. 54 minutes into the match, Västerås United FC's Daniel Bergsten broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 58 minutes into the game, Björn Askelöf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sixten Pettersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Magnus Rosen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Västerås United FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Bergsten. With his leg Carl Hedkvist managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Vankiva's Magnus Rosen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sixten Pettersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Askelöf, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Björn Askelöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Pettersson having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Magnus Rosen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carl Hedkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sixten Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Askelöf in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Björn Askelöf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixten Pettersson. Vankiva's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Björn Askelöf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 91 minutes into the game, Yngve Blomqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Västerås United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vankiva the free kick. After a rather tough play, Västerås United FC's Yngve Blomqvist got a free kick in the 91st minute. Magnus Rosen might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Hedkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Magnus Rosen ran back to his position shaking his head. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vankiva players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Västerås United FC.
