The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carl Hedkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Linus Ström in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Västerås United FC's Isac Blanck got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 11th match minute, Örviken IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Almkvist to maneuver through the defense. Linus Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Carl Hedkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvin Bivall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Hedkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Kennet Ahlstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Askelöf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carl Hedkvist came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Örviken IK's Linus Ström. But to his dismay, Linus Ström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Johannes Hård charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johannes Hård the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Örviken IK booed when Västerås United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Algot Löfdahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Västerås United FC's Carl Hedkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Västerås United FC from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Västerås United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvin Bivall came free, but Carl Hedkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Örviken IK's Kennet Ahlstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Björkman in the 41st minute of play. When Johannes Hård was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. Johannes Hård hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Robin Björkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Björkman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Örviken IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Wiberg to maneuver through the defense. Robin Björkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Ahlstedt having to interfere. Linus Ström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carl Hedkvist having to make a save. 67 minutes into the game, Robin Björkman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kennet Ahlstedt. Robin Björkman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Alvin Bivall hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Robin Björkman came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Västerås United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Björkman couldn't finish the play. Linus Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Hedkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Linus Ström, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. If Robin Björkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kennet Ahlstedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robin Björkman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 93 minute of play. Kennet Ahlstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Västerås United FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
