Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronny Olofsson in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Hellkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronny Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Hellkvist having to interfere. In the 10th minute Åke Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Åkesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronny Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Åke Åkesson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonard Hellkvist. Dals Långed's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Åke Åkesson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Daniel Olsson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvald Abelsson during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nye IFK getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Osvald Abelsson hit a great ball. After 33 minutes, Ove Wallin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nye IFK and the Dals Långed players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ronny Olofsson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Nye IFK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Åkesson in the 81st minute of play forced Dals Långed's goalkeeper Leonard Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Kurt Nyberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dals Långed's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Nyberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute Åke Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nye IFK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
