NAJS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Ove Jonasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, NAJS's goal looked a bit too open when Kåre Bruhn came free, but Klas Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Allbom in the 20th minute of play forced NAJS's goalkeeper Klas Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Allbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klas Mattsson having to interfere. The supporters of Flarken FK booed when NAJS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Ekgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torgny Friberger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrik Sjöman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes Flarken FK got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ove Törnkvist. Stig-Ove Jonasson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Torgny Friberger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ulrik Sjöman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Friberger having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulrik Sjöman to strike the kick off in the second half. Jens-Ove Törnkvist hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Michael Bocklund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Torgny Friberger skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik Brask during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Patrik Brask hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torgny Friberger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to NAJS getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dag Hammarström hit a great ball. Aaron Ekgren kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th match minute, Flarken FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Törnkvist to maneuver through the defense. When Jens-Ove Törnkvist was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played.
