The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Äng FK's Conny Strandberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingmar Bergkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Fransson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isac Olofsson was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Isac Olofsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filiph Asklöv showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Eskilstuna FK's Filiph Asklöv got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Äng FK's Isac Olofsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Äng FK from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Filiph Asklöv got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Fransson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isac Olofsson was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 26th match minute, Äng FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Lang to maneuver through the defense. If Emanuel Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Äng FK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Fransson in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isac Olofsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the game, Magnus Brodin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eskilstuna FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Äng FK the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Eskilstuna FK's zone, Gabriel Fredriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingmar Bergkvist came out of the goal and Gabriel Fredriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joseph Lidman to strike the kick off in the second half. Isac Olofsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Hamnberg in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute, Filiph Asklöv got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fredrik Lund hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 73rd match minute, Eskilstuna FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Skog to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Hääger during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 76 minutes into the game, one of Äng FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Allan Skog shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Joseph Lidman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Lidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingmar Bergkvist having to interfere. It was beautiful to see Eskilstuna FK's Allan Skog in action when he in the 89th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Äng FK's Isac Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiph Asklöv in the 92nd minute of play. Emanuel Fransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Olofsson having to interfere.
