Stig-Åke Ivarsson made in the 7th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Östen Mikaelsson however managed to control. In the 8th minute, Stig-Åke Ivarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Olov Falkrantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Klågerup BF getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Åke Ferm hit a great ball. When Melker Hybbert came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Sundborn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melker Hybbert couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the game, Melker Hybbert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ingemar Kellbom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 21 minutes into the match, Sundborn's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Vestberg came free, but Jonatan Sandell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melker Hybbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Olov Falkrantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. Sundborn's Jonatan Sandell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Östen Mikaelsson in the 41st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Olov Falkrantz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingemar Kellbom was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Falkrantz in the 45th minute of play forced Klågerup BF's goalkeeper Ingemar Kellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Östen Mikaelsson made a kick off. Jonatan Sandell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Östen Mikaelsson in the 55th minute of play. Ingemar Kellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Hybbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Melker Hybbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Olov Falkrantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes, William Skröder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Klågerup BF and the Sundborn players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stig-Åke Ivarsson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Klågerup BF's Ingemar Kellbom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Klågerup BF from getting a goal against them. In the 96th match minute, Klågerup BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Ivarsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Klågerup BF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Olov Falkrantz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Olov Falkrantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sundborn's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
