FC Fortitudine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Holmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Lindsten having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ted Borre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Björn Lindsten was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Ted Borre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Björn Lindsten. That made the score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, FC Fortitudine's Ted Borre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Björn Lindsten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Henning Dahlquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Kullgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Fortitudine's Emanuel Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Pål Kullgren made a precise shot to the right of Henning Dahlquist. FC Fortitudine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ted Borre hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Bo Bocklund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henning Dahlquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 74th minute, one of FC Fortitudine:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Fortitudine. Kasper Wallin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Bo Bocklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henning Dahlquist having to make a save. If Pål Kullgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Pål Kullgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Lindsten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Birger Hök's late challenge caught a FC Fortitudine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Birger Hök helped the player get up and apologised. Birger Hök hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Björn Lindsten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Svensson in the 90th minute of play. Björn Lindsten came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Fortitudine's Emanuel Holmgren. But to his dismay, Emanuel Holmgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. FC Fortitudine were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
