Pelle Månsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Nils Salqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils Salqvist made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Pelle Månsson sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Gråfjuns United's Sven Borre got a free kick in the 13th minute. Gävle's Malte Björling couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gråfjuns United. Nils Salqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joseph Beckeman's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 28th match minute, Gråfjuns United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Valström to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 36 minutes, Egil Gerdberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gråfjuns United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egil Gerdberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Egil Gerdberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolf Vallander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egil Gerdberg in the 40th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Gråfjuns United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gävle:s goal. The referee gave Gävle a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Malte Björling, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gråfjuns United's Nils Salqvist. 1-0. Kim Alegren hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Rolf Vallander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Egil Gerdberg went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egil Gerdberg was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gråfjuns United's Edmund Nyberg got a free kick in the 58th minute. Pelle Månsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nils Salqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Beckeman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th match minute, Gävle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börge Högberg to maneuver through the defense. When Pelle Månsson came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Gävle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pelle Månsson couldn't finish the play. Egil Gerdberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolf Vallander came out and tried to block the shot, but Egil Gerdberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 79th minute. Nils Salqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelle Månsson in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gråfjuns United's goalkeeper Nils Salqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Egil Gerdberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Rolf Vallander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute Egil Gerdberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Vallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 100th minute Pelle Månsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Salqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joseph Beckeman in the 103rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils Salqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Gråfjuns United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
