Hammar IF's attack was well implemented in the 21st minute, but when William Tinglöv was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Eskil Elg's late challenge caught a Hammar IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eskil Elg helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Djurgården got a freekick which was hit by Eskil Elg. The crowd rose to their feet as Gert Ahlroth kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henry Friberger. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Hammar IF's William Tinglöv nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Friberger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Djurgården's Edgar Caspersson got his second yellow card of the match in the 45th minute. The referee ordered Edgar Caspersson off the ground. Edgar Caspersson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Hjelm made a kick off. After 60 played minutes, Hammar IF's Emanuel Skark shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henry Friberger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hammar IF reached it. Gert Ahlroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Friberger having to interfere. Adam Hjelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olov Wallin hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Gert Ahlroth notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Djurgården's Henry Friberger. Henry Friberger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute Gert Ahlroth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When William Tinglöv came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Hammar IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Tinglöv couldn't finish the play. Djurgården's Henry Friberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Arne Bergendahl in the 98th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hammar IF had played much better football throughout.
