Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Claes Lindsten kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute Claes Lindsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kävlinge getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rudolf Olofsson hit a great ball. After 12 minutes, Bo-Erik Rosendahl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norrköping and the Kävlinge players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Norrköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo-Erik Rosendahl to maneuver through the defense. If Börge Fastesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claes Lindsten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Melker Åkesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Börge Fastesson struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Melker Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kävlinge. Melker Åkesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Fastesson in the 26th minute of play. Melker Åkesson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claes Lindsten's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. The supporters of Kävlinge booed when Norrköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Arne Vestberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bo-Erik Rosendahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Stig-Ove Edström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norrköping's Einar Hammarberg pulled a muscle in his back after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Rudolf Olofsson was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After recieving a nice pass, Norrköping's Rickard Alfors tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Norrköping's goal looked a bit too open when Börge Fastesson came free, but Melker Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Kävlinge's Börge Fastesson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Melker Åkesson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claes Lindsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 minutes of play Norrköping's Bo-Erik Rosendahl was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Norrköping getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bo-Erik Rosendahl hit a great ball. Börge Fastesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melker Åkesson having to interfere. Algot Kjellqvist was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Melker Åkesson made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Börge Fastesson sent off a good shot on target. Kävlinge were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Norrköping's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evert Gustafsson took the corner. If Börge Fastesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Algot Kjellqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Melker Åkesson made a huge save. Bengt-Arne Vestberg kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Algot Kjellqvist was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Norrköping's goalkeeper Melker Åkesson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Algot Kjellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börge Fastessons short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Melker Åkesson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Börge Fastesson struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Melker Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kävlinge. After 97 played minutes Norrköping got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Vestberg. Melker Åkesson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Evert Gustafsson. Kävlinge's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
