Håkan Bergren's late challenge caught a Östansjö's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. One of Charlies IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Östansjö:s goal. When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Östansjö's Johannes Ahlroth got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Pär Lundin. In the 7th match minute, Östansjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Erik Olsson to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes, Charlies IF's Håkan Bergren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sebastian Brummer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Charlies IF reached it. In the 11th minute, Uno Britz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Uno Britz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Östansjö fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Johannes Ahlroth hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Patrick Söderman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Brummer having to interfere. After having played for 48 minutes, Rikard Walmarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Östansjö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rikard Walmarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Rikard Walmarsson made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Östansjö's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Aleberg came free, but Sebastian Brummer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Skog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sebastian Brummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Charlies IF a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Håkan Bergren, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Östansjö's Sebastian Brummer. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Charlies IF's Kurt Skog got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Kurt Skog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Skog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
