An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Möllgren in the 12th minute of play forced Trelleborg's goalkeeper Jesper Snell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Henry Möllgren sped through Trelleborg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jesper Snell. Ingvar Fors who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Svante Andreasson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thomas Blixt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesper Snell having to interfere. Henry Möllgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesper Snell having to make a save. In the 31st minute, Joakim Åhlberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Andreas Låsberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trelleborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lenhovda IF the free kick. Andreas Låsberg hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lenhovda IF booed when Trelleborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Örtlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Blixt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesper Snell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Möllgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Trelleborg's zone, Henry Möllgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesper Snell came out of the goal and Henry Möllgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas Blixt might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jesper Snell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Blixt ran back to his position shaking his head. 47 minutes into the game, Lenhovda IF's Henry Möllgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jesper Snell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

54 minutes into the match, Trelleborg's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Möllgren came free, but Jesper Snell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trelleborg's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Henry Möllgren 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Philip Gustavsson charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philip Gustavsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lenhovda IF played a much better game than Trelleborg and deserved their victory. The Trelleborg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
