The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Nilsson during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sten Bolin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Roger Elg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Molander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Överturingen booed when Saxdalen IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Georg Vesterberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Överturingen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sverker Brodin was slow to take the kick. During this time Saxdalen IK's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Jan-Ove Tunberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Överturingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Ove Tunberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Molander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Molander made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Niclas Winström sent off a good shot on target. Erik Galle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Elg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Niclas Winström came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Överturingen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niclas Winström couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Överturingen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Saxdalen IK throughout the match.
