Tom Ek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Ungdom United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Idkerberget IK:s goal. Bengt-Rune Nyberg went to the wrong direction when Per-Åke Wallin was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 11th minute, Sven Lind ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bengt-Rune Nyberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Ungdom United's Robert Söderström got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Fernkvist in the 18th minute of play forced Ungdom United's goalkeeper Bengt-Rune Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Idkerberget IK's zone, Tom Ek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximilian Benet came out of the goal and Tom Ek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bengt-Rune Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Fernkvist in the 22nd minute of play. If Tom Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Fernkvist in the 30th minute of play forced Ungdom United's goalkeeper Bengt-Rune Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ungdom United's Robert Söderström got a free kick in the 30th minute. Robert Söderström's late challenge caught a Idkerberget IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Söderström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Idkerberget IK booed when Ungdom United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Söderström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven Lind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maximilian Benet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tom Ek went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Bengt-Rune Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ungdom United's Frans Lundin got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars Fernkvist to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Tom Ek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tom Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ungdom United booed when Idkerberget IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Åke Wallin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edward Bokelund came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ungdom United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Bokelund couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Lars Fernkvist made a precise shot to the right of Bengt-Rune Nyberg. Ungdom United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Bengt-Rune Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Fernkvist in the 69th minute of play. Tom Ek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximilian Benet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Idkerberget IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgny Åström to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Rune Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Pil, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 1-3 became the score in the 79th minute when Sven Lind elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Idkerberget IK's goalkeeper Maximilian Benet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Torgny Åström during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Torgny Åström hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Lars Fernkvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bengt-Rune Nyberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Lars Fernkvist slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 97th minute.
