The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6thth minute of the game Wiktor Sjöberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dals Rostock's Kjell-Arne Ivarsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan Asserlindh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars-Erik Valler's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Wiktor Sjöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 minutes of play, Juvemil FK's Wiktor Sjöberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kjell-Arne Ivarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wiktor Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell-Arne Ivarsson having to interfere. If Alex Rosin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arman Linberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan Asserlindh could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Morgan Löv during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dals Rostock's Morgan Löv got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 39 minutes into the match, Juvemil FK's goalkeeper Jan Asserlindh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Rosin. If Torbjörn Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th match minute, Juvemil FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Broberg to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the match, Juvemil FK's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Valler came free, but Jan Asserlindh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars-Erik Valler to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Lars-Erik Valler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Asserlindh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arman Linberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Asserlindh having to interfere. Kjell-Arne Ivarsson was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Wiktor Sjöberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wiktor Sjöberg really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Jon Hagström hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A hard shot 74 in the game by Torbjörn Brogren from a close distance when the talented Kjell-Arne Ivarsson managed to make a qualified save. Dals Rostock's players were relieved. Niklas Haglund kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes, Dals Rostock's Sivert Hökqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan Asserlindh came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dals Rostock reached it. When Dals Rostock's Lars-Erik Valler in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Juvemil FK's goalie prevented a goal. Kjell-Arne Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Sjöberg in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Lars-Erik Valler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dals Rostock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Erik Valler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90thth minute of the game Lars-Erik Valler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juvemil FK's Jan Asserlindh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Juvemil FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Juvemil FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
