After 12 played minutes HTFF got a freekick which was hit by Kjell-Arne Mickelsson. Eddie Vesterberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joar Albohm having to interfere. 17 minutes into the game, Ransäter RK's Alex Söderquist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rune Lundqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Ransäter RK's goalkeeper Joar Albohm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Vesterberg. In the 23rd minute, Alex Söderquist made a precise shot to the right of Rune Lundqvist. HTFF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in HTFF's zone, Alex Söderquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Lundqvist came out of the goal and Alex Söderquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Söderquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rune Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Alex Söderquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joar Albohm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddie Vesterberg in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, John Skark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eskil Koch fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ransäter RK's protests and gave Eskil Koch a yellow card for diving instead. Eskil Koch kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Fredrik Duset had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Freddie Walroth to strike the kick off in the second half. Eddie Vesterberg succeeded in the game's 54th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Joar Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Duset in the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ransäter RK's zone, Fredrik Duset stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joar Albohm came out of the goal and Fredrik Duset tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddie Walroth was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Ransäter RK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. HTFF's Rune Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Erik Lindholm in the 91st minute of play. Alex Söderquist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Rune Lundqvist made a huge save. The HTFF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ransäter RK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
