Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mellbystrand's Malcolm Nordstedt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Göran Johansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellbystrand's Sebastian Löfgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute Carl Bäcklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Skinnskatteberg's Carl Bäcklin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Löfgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carl Bäcklin might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Löfgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Bäcklin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24thth minute of the game Göran Johansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellbystrand's Sebastian Löfgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute Carl Bäcklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilhelm Hasselqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vilhelm Hasselqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Allan Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Nordstedt in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Skinnskatteberg's zone, Ulrik Berggren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Allan Lundqvist came out of the goal and Ulrik Berggren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Carl Bäcklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Johansson in the 32nd minute of play forced Mellbystrand's goalkeeper Sebastian Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carl Bäcklin struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Sebastian Löfgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skinnskatteberg. If Carl Bäcklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Mellbystrand got a freekick which was hit by Ulrik Berggren. Allan Julin, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sebastian Löfgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Johansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carl Bäcklin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carl Bäcklin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göran Johansson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Sebastian Löfgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Göran Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Löfgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Bäcklin in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm Nordstedt in the 85th minute of play forced Skinnskatteberg's goalkeeper Allan Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Leonard Holmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carl Bäcklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
