When Per-Olof Ahlfors came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Visby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Olof Ahlfors couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Edström in the 9th minute of play forced Visby's goalkeeper Michael Göransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes, Bertil Edström made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Visby's Michael Göransson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Claes Lindgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johnny Åkesson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claes Lindgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Johnny Åkesson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 17th minute of the game, Bertil Edström landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 17 minutes, Alf Hedin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Visby and the Botsmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alf Hedin kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Nils Haström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Göransson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Botsmark booed when Visby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joar Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliott Blanck in the 23rd minute of the match. Per-Olof Ahlfors blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnny Åkesson having to make a save. Johnny Åkesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Lindgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Per-Olof Ahlfors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Åkesson having to interfere. Elliott Blanck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claes Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Botsmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Haström to maneuver through the defense. After 73 played minutes Botsmark got a freekick which was hit by Nils Haström. After having played for 86 minutes, Karl-Johan Tomasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Visby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Johan Tomasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Tor Strömberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botsmark's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Visby the free kick. In the 88th minute, Tor Strömberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jon Berggren was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Botsmark's zone, Per-Olof Ahlfors stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Åkesson came out of the goal and Per-Olof Ahlfors tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Botsmark's Johnny Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Lindgren in the 94th minute of play. Claes Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Botsmark succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Visby had controlled the match.
