When Vadstena's Egil Wallander, in the 8th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Vadstena. In the 10th minute, Egil Wallander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eskil Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Hybbert in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Hybbert in the 19th minute of play forced Teknis U16's goalkeeper Eskil Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc Svanström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthon Felin having to interfere. Anthon Felin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Julin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Egil Wallander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eskil Andreasson was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After 30 played minutes Teknis U16 got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Myr. 31 minutes into the match, Vadstena's Andréas Nordin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eskil Andreasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 32 played minutes Teknis U16 got a freekick which was hit by Henry Nyman. Jan Hybbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Andreasson having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Teknis U16's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Wallander came free, but Eskil Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Mikael Julin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vadstena's Anthon Felin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Vadstena from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egil Wallander made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egil Wallander during the 51st minute.
