After 32 minutes of play Bograngen's Börje Sandström was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Johan Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ture Bergsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gällivare's Jörgen Nordström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Gällivare from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the game, one of Bograngen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Stig Jonasson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Kent Andreasson came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Bograngen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Andreasson couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bograngen's goalkeeper Ture Bergsten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
