In the 11th minute Orvar Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Olof Ambjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braås's Edvin Åberg got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orvar Göransson to make the kick off. Braås's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Royal Football Club the free kick.
