The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes, André Bagge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seglora and the Aneby players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Aneby booed when Seglora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Bagge didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jonatan Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Bernt Strand notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Seglora's Malcolm Ekeberg. Malcolm Ekeberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernt Strand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Malcolm Ekeberg made a huge save. In the 25th match minute, Aneby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Melin to maneuver through the defense. Sven Spets stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Holmberg's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Holmberg in the 38th minute of play forced Aneby's goalkeeper Sven Spets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Holmberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven Spets. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Holmberg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd minute, Bernt Strand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aneby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Samuelsson in the 48th minute of play forced Aneby's goalkeeper Sven Spets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonatan Söderström to make the kick off. If Osvald Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 56 played minutes Aneby got a freekick which was hit by Åke Morat. If Stefan Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Spets having to interfere. Sven Spets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Holmberg in the 62nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Samuelsson got free with Sven Spets in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Nils Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seglora's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Samuelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Spets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joachim Melin fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aneby's protests and gave Joachim Melin a yellow card for diving instead. Joachim Melin hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Nils-Emil Valrot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils-Emil Valrot got free with Sven Spets in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seglora's goalkeeper Malcolm Ekeberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonatan Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nils Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes Aneby got a freekick which was hit by Åke Morat. Bernt Strand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Ekeberg having to interfere. Nils Samuelsson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Seglora's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Seglora's Nils Samuelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aneby fans cheered their team off the field, for while Seglora had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
