Edward Björck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Isaksson in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Pettersson in the 19th minute of play forced Fenerbahce's goalkeeper Johnny Hultin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dänske Böller i Pöse's Edward Björck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Isaksson in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conny Isaksson in the 22nd minute of play forced Dänske Böller i Pöse's goalkeeper Edward Björck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Conny Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Dänske Böller i Pöse getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jan Dusett hit a great ball. Conny Isaksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Edward Björck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Conny Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Björck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conny Isaksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Conny Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dan Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Petersson hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Dan Pettersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Hultin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes, Jan Stigsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dänske Böller i Pöse and the Fenerbahce players grew even worse after the yellow card.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Pettersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Fenerbahce defense, Linus Martinsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnny Hultin. The Fenerbahce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnny Hultin should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Fenerbahce getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. David Petersson hit a great ball. In the 57th match minute, Fenerbahce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Falkrantz to maneuver through the defense. Mikael Myr took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Johnny Hultin. Fenerbahce's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Pettersson in the 64th minute of play forced Fenerbahce's goalkeeper Johnny Hultin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, John Anselius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edward Björck. John Anselius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. During the 71st minute of the match David Petersson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave David Petersson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 71 played minutes Fenerbahce got a freekick which was hit by David Petersson. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahce's zone, Dan Pettersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Hultin came out of the goal and Dan Pettersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Anselius hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Dan Pettersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dänske Böller i Pöse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Pettersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81stth minute of the game Dan Pettersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahce's Johnny Hultin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahce's John Anselius got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 89 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Åman came free, but Johnny Hultin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Hultin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dan Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Fenerbahce supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fenerbahce would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
