The supporters of Rydsgård IK booed when Östansjö RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Erik Kjellqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Östansjö RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Kjellqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Ekegren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, Rydsgård IK's Linus Bergqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kalle Månsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Östansjö RK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Linus Bergqvist was slow to take the kick. During this time Rydsgård IK's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Östansjö RK defense, Christian Granström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kalle Månsson. The Östansjö RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kalle Månsson should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Linus Bergqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kalle Månsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 36 minutes into the match, Gilbert Lundin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dan Ekegren, 1-3. Jimmy Wik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Månsson having to interfere. Gilbert Lundin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Erik Kjellqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dan Ekegren made a huge save. Rydsgård IK's Dan Ekegren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Rydsgård IK from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Granström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dan Ekegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Strömberg in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Linus Bergqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kalle Månsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Östansjö RK's goalkeeper Kalle Månsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dan Strand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Linus Bergqvist got free with Kalle Månsson in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Gilbert Lundin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jimmy Wik came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Rydsgård IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Wik couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the game, Östansjö RK's Aaron Strömberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Ekegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. 79 minutes into the match, Rydsgård IK's Linus Bergqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kalle Månsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dan Ekegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Strömberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Jimmy Wik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Månsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Wik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kalle Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Strand was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimmy Wik got free with Kalle Månsson in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rydsgård IK's Dan Ekegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Strömberg in the 89th minute of play. If Gilbert Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
