Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kenneth Lundgren got the match started through his kick off. Mathias Rydelius took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bengt-Åke Björling. Bengt-Åke Björling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hubert Cane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Ekelund in the 8th minute of the match. Hubert Cane made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Jim Andberg sent off a good shot on target. Ingvar Ekelund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hubert Cane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. When Georg Ekström fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Söderköping IK's protests and gave Georg Ekström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Georg Ekström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Michel Lundström got a free kick in the 17th minute. One of Chelsea FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Söderköping IK:s goal. 28 minutes into the match, Chelsea FC's Kenneth Lundgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt-Åke Björling narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bengt-Åke Björling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Lundgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea FC's zone, Jim Andberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hubert Cane came out of the goal and Jim Andberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes of play, Chelsea FC's Kenneth Lundgren made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Åke Björling was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bengt-Åke Björling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Rydelius, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Andberg got free with Hubert Cane in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ingvar Ekelund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Cane having to interfere. In the 65thth minute of the game Ingvar Ekelund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea FC's Hubert Cane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Jim Andberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hubert Cane. Chelsea FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jim Andberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The long shot by Björn Gernberg in the 83rd minute really tested Bengt-Åke Björling's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jim Andberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jim Andberg in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hubert Cane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute Ingvar Ekelund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Cane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingvar Ekelund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Cane having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
