Staffan Granqvist hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Per Åhlberg sped through Frändefors IFK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mats Dahlberg. The supporters of Frändefors IFK booed when Björneborg BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredric Brolin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Mattias Burman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mats Dahlberg was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 28 minutes of play, Björneborg BF's Mattias Burman made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mats Dahlberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mats Dahlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Burman in the 31st minute of the match. If Per Åhlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mattias Burman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mats Dahlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Burman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Dahlberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Åhlberg in the 44th minute of play forced Frändefors IFK's goalkeeper Mats Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per Åhlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per Åhlberg made a kick off. Mats Dahlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Åhlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Björneborg BF's Per Åhlberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mats Dahlberg. That made the score 0-4 after 53 minutes of play. Mattias Burman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes Frändefors IFK got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Busk. With a little luck, Frändefors IFK's Mats Dahlberg got control of the ball when Fredric Brolin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Per Åhlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Mattias Burman could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Mats Dahlberg however easily saved by the left post. With his leg Mats Dahlberg managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Björneborg BF's Mattias Burman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Peder Ugla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elof Gallin in the 67th minute of the match. When Per Åhlberg came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Björneborg BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Åhlberg couldn't finish the play. Mattias Burman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mattias Burman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mattias Burman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 minutes, Christer Gabrielsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Björneborg BF and the Frändefors IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Frändefors IFK booed when Björneborg BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Gabrielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Björneborg BF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
