When Robin Hegg came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Färnäs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Hegg couldn't finish the play. If Rolf Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the game, Timmy Bergstedt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Övertorneå FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Färnäs the free kick. A collision led to Övertorneå FF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Timmy Bergstedt hit a great ball. Stefan Österlund hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Övertorneå FF got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Pedersson. Övertorneå FF's Timmy Bergstedt got his second yellow card of the match in the 18th minute. The referee ordered Timmy Bergstedt off the ground. Robin Hegg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Hegg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 played minutes Färnäs got a freekick which was hit by Linus Jansson. Christian Josefsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robin Hegg's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Rolf Holmberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Josefsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rolf Holmberg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Henric Strömqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Svante Jelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Robin Hegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Övertorneå FF's Patrik Salkvist got a free kick in the 36th minute. Rolf Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Christian Josefsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik Salkvist during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Övertorneå FF getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Patrik Salkvist hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Robin Hegg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Josefsson was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. If Robin Hegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rolf Holmberg came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Färnäs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolf Holmberg couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Hegg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robin Hegg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Christian Josefsson 53 minutes into the match. Övertorneå FF's Stefan Pedersson got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Stefan Österlund fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Övertorneå FF's protests and gave Stefan Österlund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Stefan Österlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Övertorneå FF getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Henric Strömqvist hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Svante Jelm managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Robin Hegg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Josefsson having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Stefan Österlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match Färnäs got a corner. Övertorneå FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Svante Jelm ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Salkvist in the 76th minute of play forced Färnäs's goalkeeper Nils Wallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Josefsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Hegg in the 77th minute of the match. Christian Josefsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Svante Jelm went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Christian Josefsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Hegg in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Robin Hegg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christian Josefsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Robin Hegg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Christian Josefsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Övertorneå FF's Christian Josefsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Hegg in the 92nd minute of play. Färnäs played a much better game than Övertorneå FF and deserved their victory. The Övertorneå FF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
