In the 7th minute of the game, Karl Mårtensson landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Tim Karlsson charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim Karlsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Åstol BK's Tim Karlsson got a free kick in the 8th minute. Per-Olof Holmberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Östlund in the 14th minute of the match. Joel Ahlerot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sten Bäcklin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Per-Olof Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kopparberg MK's zone, Sten Bäcklin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Olof Holmberg came out of the goal and Sten Bäcklin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Marcus Kalfhage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute of the match Dennis Östensson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Olof Holmberg skillfully saved the ball. Isac Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Ahlfors, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Sebastian Fredriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kopparberg MK's Per-Olof Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kåre Östlund in the 43rd minute of play. Per-Olof Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Bäcklin, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kåre Östlund was the one to do the kick off. Per-Olof Holmberg stood somewhat misplaced when Kåre Östlund came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 53 minute. Frank Ahlfors kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Bäcklin got free with Per-Olof Holmberg in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kopparberg MK's Joel Ahlerot got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Ahlerot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Mattsson having to interfere. Jerry Pilblad's late challenge caught a Kopparberg MK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerry Pilblad helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Åstol BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Pilblad to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Åstol BK's zone, Joel Ahlerot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isac Mattsson came out of the goal and Joel Ahlerot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Åstol BK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
