In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ängelholm's goalkeeper Karl-Michael Nässén, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Örjan Algren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karl-Michael Nässén. Ängelholm's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Göran Aleberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Nässén having to interfere. Nils Wållander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Olsmann having to interfere. Nicklas Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Karl-Michael Nässén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Vintrosa booed when Ängelholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Hylander didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 31 in the game by Jan Engström from a close distance when the talented Agne Olsmann managed to make a qualified save. Vintrosa's players were relieved. After 32 played minutes Vintrosa got a freekick which was hit by Stig Lundgren. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jan Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agne Olsmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Wållander in the 61st minute of play. If Robert Sundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ängelholm getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Gert Nordström hit a great ball. Karl-Michael Nässén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Aleberg in the 83rd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Göran Aleberg notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ängelholm's Karl-Michael Nässén. Karl-Michael Nässén was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karl-Michael Nässén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Aleberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Agne Olsmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game Örjan Algren kicked a great long shot which passed Karl-Michael Nässén straight ahead into the goal, Result 2-3. One couldn't see Örjan Algren behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. In the 98th minute Jan Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agne Olsmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ängelholm's zone, Göran Aleberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Michael Nässén came out of the goal and Göran Aleberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vintrosa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
