Fagersanna IF's Rune Bryngelsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gustavsberg. Ragnar Vallmark hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Bertil Jakobsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesper Vennerström in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Fagersanna IF's Bertil Jakobsson got control of the ball when Jesper Vennerström tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Gustavsberg's Kjell Burman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bertil Jakobsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Helge Mickelsson in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bertil Pettersson saved Gustavsberg from getting behind. After having played for 25 minutes, Michel Danielsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fagersanna IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Danielsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Gustavsberg getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rudolf Källberg hit a great ball. Jonathan Kilman's late challenge caught a Fagersanna IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Kilman helped the player get up and apologised. Bertil Pettersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Danielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Gustavsberg got a freekick which was hit by Rudolf Källberg. Jesper Vennerström's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bertil Jakobsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 36 played minutes Jesper Vennerström rounded Fagersanna IF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 46th match minute, Fagersanna IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludwig Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. Jesper Vennerströms short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Bertil Jakobsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

58 minutes into the match, Gustavsberg's Kjell Burman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bertil Jakobsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Helge Mickelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gustavsberg booed when Fagersanna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elof Olofsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helge Mickelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes in the game, Michel Danielsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bertil Pettersson having to interfere. Bertil Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Mickelsson in the 79th minute of play. If Jesper Vennerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Collin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bertil Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helge Mickelsson in the 87th minute of play forced Gustavsberg's goalkeeper Bertil Pettersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Fagersanna IF got a corner. Gustavsberg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rune Bryngelsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gustavsberg's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
