Björköby's Frans Olenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Björköby from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, Björköby's Andy Hägert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dick Lindsten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dick Lindsten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Hägert, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 23 played minutes Lidköping got a freekick which was hit by Mårten Åkesson. 26 minutes into the match, Lidköping's Bernt Abrahamsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frans Olenberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melker Larsson in the 30th minute of play forced Lidköping's goalkeeper Dick Lindsten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Ragnar Eskilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Björköby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragnar Eskilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute, Andy Hägert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andy Hägert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Daniel Malmberg fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Björköby's protests and gave Daniel Malmberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Björköby got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Malmberg. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

53 minutes into the match, Lidköping's goal looked a bit too open when Melker Larsson came free, but Dick Lindsten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melker Larsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Bernt Abrahamsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute, Daniel Malmberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melker Larsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Dick Lindsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Björköby's Frans Olenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Abrahamsson in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Lundström in the 82nd minute of play forced Björköby's goalkeeper Frans Olenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Björköby got a freekick which was hit by Gottfrid Stigsson. Frans Olenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Abrahamsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Stig-Ove Lundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frans Olenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Abrahamsson in the 87th minute of play. In the 96th minute Bernt Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Olenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
