Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Garphyttan's Tobias Levander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Garphyttan from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute David Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Levander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robin Wall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Levander having to interfere. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garphyttan's goalkeeper Tobias Levander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivan Olsson struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Victor Häger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garphyttan. Anton Skålberg hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Christoffer Bock took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Häger. Linköping United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tobias Levander was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Robin Wall capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Robin Wall really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Gunnar Borre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Isak Brenner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linköping United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garphyttan the free kick. 43 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's Gunnar Borre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Häger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victor Häger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Borre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gunnar Borre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Häger having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Björkdahl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th play minute Ivan Olsson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Victor Häger. 1-1. Linköping United's Victor Häger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Borre in the 62nd minute of play. Garphyttan's Tobias Levander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Nordstedt in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Wall came free, but Tobias Levander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 minutes of play, Linköping United's Robin Wall made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Levander was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the match, David Björkdahl notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Garphyttan's Tobias Levander. Tobias Levander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Folke Nordstedt's late challenge caught a Garphyttan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Folke Nordstedt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Linköping United getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Folke Nordstedt hit a great ball. Victor Häger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Borre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Wall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robin Wall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Tobias Levander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Linköping United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Garphyttan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
