Adam Dalman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Torsten Snäll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Ström in the 6th minute of play forced Grästorp's goalkeeper Torsten Snäll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvar Söderström took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Torsten Snäll. Torsten Snäll dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Grästorp's Marc Strömberg got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 minutes, Joakim Täman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grästorp and the Broby players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joakim Täman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Alvar Söderström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Torsten Snäll made a huge save. In the 19th match minute, Grästorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Täman to maneuver through the defense. When Kasper Gregersson fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Broby's protests and gave Kasper Gregersson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Kasper Gregersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Grästorp's Erland Apelqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Arne Brogren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Marc Strömberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Arne Brogren was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Johnny Ström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Snäll having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Marc Strömberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Per-Arne Brogren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Grästorp were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnny Ström to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Grästorp got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Westerstrand. When Johnny Ström came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Broby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnny Ström couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute Erland Apelqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Arne Brogren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grästorp's Torsten Snäll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvar Söderström in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Karl-Michael Waller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torsten Snäll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Ström, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Ström in the 67th minute of play forced Grästorp's goalkeeper Torsten Snäll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erland Apelqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Åke Nykvist hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, Kjell Lindqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grästorp's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Broby the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Kjell Lindqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Johnny Ström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Torsten Snäll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvar Söderström in the 80th minute of play. If Marc Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torsten Snäll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvar Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Broby's Alvar Söderström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torsten Snäll made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
