The Hestra IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jakob Dalström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Kiempe, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Johan Kiempe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Dalström having to interfere. Kennet Carlsson shot from long distance in the 22nd minute, but Ingemar Petersson was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Roland Pålsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Alvar Törnqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Björketorp FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvar Törnqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingemar Petersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvar Törnqvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Ingemar Petersson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Peder Bjursell fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Björketorp FF's protests and gave Peder Bjursell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 50th minute, Oskar Molin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Pålsson made a kick off. In the 55th match minute, Hestra IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Molin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Björketorp FF's zone, Johan Kiempe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jakob Dalström came out of the goal and Johan Kiempe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roland Pålsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingemar Petersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Björketorp FF got a freekick which was hit by Peder Bjursell. Valdemar Bengtsson hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Hestra IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Törnqvist came free, but Ingemar Petersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Pålsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ingemar Petersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Alvar Törnqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Petersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 81 in the game by Johan Kiempe from a close distance when the talented Jakob Dalström managed to make a qualified save. Björketorp FF's players were relieved. A collision led to Björketorp FF getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Gustav Blomqvist hit a great ball. Johan Kiempe struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jakob Dalström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hestra IFK. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Valdemar Bengtsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hestra IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Bengtsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakob Dalström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hestra IFK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
