In the 19th minute, Matthias Björkkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Gusselby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Kielstedt came free, but Sven-Erik Soned reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Stig Törnqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 40th minute, Matthias Björkkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Länna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Josef Hansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stig Törnqvist having to make a save. After 47 played minutes Gusselby IF got a freekick which was hit by Josef Hansson. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josef Hansson made a kick off. Bertil Lindgren charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertil Lindgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute, Bertil Lindgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josef Hansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Josef Hansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gusselby IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Mårten Bollström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gusselby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Mårten Bollström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig Törnqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Kielstedt got free with Sven-Erik Soned in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mårten Bollström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mårten Bollström in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig Törnqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anton Kielstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Erik Soned having to interfere. During the 79th minute of the match Kurt Håkansson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kurt Håkansson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Gusselby IF getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Kurt Håkansson hit a great ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Anton Kielstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Länna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Kielstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Kielstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo-Erik Säv in the 89th minute of play forced Länna's goalkeeper Stig Törnqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Mårten Bollström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Törnqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Elg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven-Erik Soned showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Björkkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
